Students say goodbye to seniors

Students+say+goodbye+to+seniors

It’s that time of year again, time to say goodbye to the leaving seniors. For years the tradition has been to Kiss the seniors goodbye. A tradition where you were able to purchase Hershey kisses to be sent to your favorite seniors.

But this year Student Government decided to mix things up by sending the seniors Lei’s to say Aloha to the seniors.

We all know that Aloha means both hello and goodbye, so this is a clever play on words and a good idea, but what happened to the tradition of Hershey kisses? According to Student Government President, senior Taylor Messinger, the central office has a new policy of no fundraisers involving the selling of food on school grounds. This means no more candy cane sales around Christmas, no more tennis sucker sale, and no more Med Tech candy bar sale. This means less money coming into the programs and more money students have to pay to the school.
