The 2013 annual blood drive was a success. There were 116 donors, according to NHS advisor Darla Omey.
The original goal was to reach 150 donors, however due to Red Cross donor restrictions, only 116 were able to give blood.
“The blood drive went smoothly and everything went as planned,” Blood Drive Committee Chairperson senior Luke Bushrow said.
A few improvements for next year will be to have more people donate blood and to reach the goal of 150 donors, according to Mrs. Omey.
“I am very proud of NHS, they worked very hard to have a successful blood drive,” Mrs. Omey said.
