Where do Sylvanians go for Spring Break?

Where do Sylvanians go for Spring Break? Is it Florida, Sylvania, a cruise or an exotic adventure?

The Northview choir is going to New York City to sing at a local church and enjoy dinner cruises as well as all of the business of the Big Apple.

“I went with the choir freshman year, and I had a blast. I am excited this year to see Aladdin,  and Something’s Rotten on Broadway. We are doing so many amazing things like going to the Modern Museum of Art , China Town, and especially the boat cruise. We are doing many things in just three days and I’m so glad that I get to have this opportunity in high school along with having a great choir director and school administration that are making this all possible” junior Kimmey Mugford said.

Other NV students are donating their Spring Break to others and going to New Orleans to help repair and fix damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The students will be doing construction on homes and many other types of service work.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing the city and to helping people out that need it,” junior Paige Matuszynski said.

Many Sylvanians going on vacation are flocking to Florida for Spring Break for the nice temperatures and beautiful beaches.

“Over break, I am going to Fort Walton Beach, Florida for a baseball tournament. I look forward to the nice weather and getting to play baseball with my friends, and I’m also excited to hang out on the beach. In addition, I plan on spending my off-days exploring and having fun with my family,” sophomore David Mulligan said.

Others are setting sail on cruise boats for the week off and plan to enjoy warm Caribbean weather sailing from island to island.

“I’m super excited for spring break! My graduation present from my parents was a cruise and we are going to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. I can’t wait!” senior Pauline Brenner said.

Many other Sylvanians will remain in Sylvania doing fun activities that they don’t typically get to do, due to the time restrictions exhibited by the school day and sports.

“I hope we have nice weather so I can enjoy the time out of school also, so that I do not have an excuse to sit inside and just watch Netflix the whole entire day,” junior Kylie Archibeque said.

Regardless of what you are doing and where you are going, “Spring break should be relaxing, fun and a time where you don’t have to worry about school,” junior Teagan Carroll said.
