“Because you have signed up for the book club, you are receiving this book!!”

As word spreads around school through teachers and students, more and more people are joining Media Specialist Darla Omey’s Book Club.

The Club began about four years ago and has begun to grow immensely this year, with over 40 students already signed up before the first meeting. This meeting is will be November 3, and the book to read is “Slated” by Teri Terry.

“I have yet to read it, but I have been stopped by two people already,” Mrs Omey said. “They both said the book was amazing and they really want the entire trilogy in the library.”

If reading interests you, stop by the media center and talk to Mrs. Omey. All meetings will take place during lunch periods and students are welcome to bring their lunch.

It’s recommended that students read the book prior to the meeting so they may develop their thoughts and feelings on it.
