Seven seniors in Business teacher Sue Bridell’s Business Technology class went to Anaheim, California for the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference on May 6 through the 10.

Also competing at Nationals was senior Becky Towns who in Integrated Office Applications. Towns was also unable to make the second round. Senior Brandon Osborn competed in Integrated Office Applications. He also came up short of making it to the second round.

Senior Alex Edinger competed in Advanced Interviewing Skills at the National competition and made it to the second round, which meant the worst that he could finish was in the top 12 in the nation.

“Since I competed in Advanced Interviewing Skills, it prepared me for literally any job that I apply for in the future,” Edinger said.

Edinger ended up finishing in eighth place in the nation for his competition.

“Getting top eight in the nation was just an amazing feeling. Just knowing that I made it that far is an amazing accomplishment. At the same time I was a little disappointed that I did not place higher,” Edinger said.
